Wikipedia
It used to be that when I wanted to learn about something, I'd search for it on Google or Yahoo and then comb through various sites for the information.  Increasingly, my first (and often only) stop is Wikipedia.  It's just so cool that the site has all that information in one place.  I now try to make it a habit of visit the main page everyday to see what the featured article is and learn useless trivial.

You may wonder how accurate Wikipedia is, given that anyone can edit its content, and there have been published instances of vandalism and fraud.  However, a Nature study found that Wikipedia's accuracy is comparable to Encyclopedia Britannica!

I heard about that Nature study too, and was pretty impressed. I got nervous, however, when Stephen Colbert was trying to get his viewers to hack the elephants entry--not for that entry specifically, since that sort of attack should be pretty obvious, but more for making that seem like a cool thing to do in general.
